Happy Birthday Joey!

Ol' Man River's birthday is today and Liz and I put decided to have an impromptu birthday dinner with him Friday after work!

We scooped Joey up from an after-work gathering and the plan was to go to Hill Country BBQ, but the wait ended up being forevs, so we had a few drinks and went next door to Sei for some sushi and the greatest burger I've ever had. Seriously. At a Japanese restaurant.

At Hill Country... their gin & tonics are PHENOM.

Sei was celebrating a birthday too, so we got some free apple cinnamon shooters which were incredible. Almost as incredible as these kobe beef sliders and pork buns.

and Liz highly recommended the Spicy Salmon Cilantro Rolls - homegirl knows her sushi!

Alas, the time came where we all just sat and stared at each other and thought, "... still hungry... do we each order a full sized kobe burger for $20, or do we go to Five Guys..."
