A Folly Beach Vacay

We’re fresh back from our long weekend at Folly Beach and can’t tell you how badly it was needed! Mike and I had been a few years ago and went this time with our friends and we all had a blast!

We stayed at this awesome AirBnb that was centrally located on the island, so walking distance from nearby everything! The decor at this place was also really neat (as my buddy demonstrates in the photo above).

First stop - the beach! The water was still so incredibly warm!

We did takeout for dinner the first night so we could stay in and watch the Thursday night game and relax after the long drive.

Unfortunately (but not really) the wait for our pizza was over and hour, so Amanda and I walked around and treated ourselves to some Pineapple Hut pineapple whip! We also picked up some boiled peanuts on our adventure - because what’s a trip South without some boiled peanuts??

Dinner was definitely worth the wait! We got pizzas and salad from Woody’s and the prosciutto with feta and mushroom was killer!

Got up the next morning with Amanda and we walked the dog and saw an incredible sunrise!

We spent the day at the beach and then it was home for dinner and Nick’s famous mac and cheese! Which the boys clearly enjoyed.

The next day was a sunnier day at the beach so we packed some snacks but tried Chico Feo for lunch - I had half a Cuban and some mahi-mahi tacos! Delicious!

Another stop at the Pineapple Hut - tried the pineapple and raspberry twist this time!

And a post-dinner stroll on the beach where we found these pieces of conch shells!

Sunset with the pier in the background - unfortunately it was under construction when we were there and won’t be done until sometime next year.

Then we made our absolutely necessary stop at Black Magic Cafe on our way out of town. I had the iced mocha with the fried chicken biscuit (biscuit, sausage gravy, fried chicken, sriracha honey and runny egg) and a side of cheesy grits. YUM!

It was a quick, but much needed vacation! If you haven’t been to Folly, you must!
