Another Gift Guide

Wow! I got some seriously wonderful compliments from you people for the first gift guide I put out (check that out HERE), so I thought I'd put out another, since I've gotten a few more ideas since then.

Be advised, I'm only telling you these would make great gifts because I am coveting them myself. I always feel that's a good way to gift give - one for me, one for you. :)

1. The Couple. Need a gift for newly engaged/newlyweds? Try a pair of champagne coupe glasses! After all, champagne flutes are soooo 2011. The charm of these old fashioned coupe glasses make them seem like an obvious registry add-on, but a lot of those big name registries have fancy schmancy laser cut crystal versions that retail for quadruple the price I'd ever consider paying. Get a simple and classic version HERE with enough dollarz left over for a bottle of bubbly to gift with these bad boys!

2. The Spoiled Brat. What to get for the kid who has everything? More stuff! Since the child you're buying for is spoiled, keep them grounded by gifting them this French Bulldog Pillow because it's adorable and well... because gifting this child an entire French Bulldog would be condoning bratty behavior and we're not that kind of gift-giver. Maybe next year, if they're good, gift them the other half.

3. The Audrey Hepburn Fan. Who says you can't buy class? This budget friendly tea party set comes in a Tiffany Blue (how convenient). Throw in a copy of Breakfast at Tiffany's and a Holly Golightly Eye Mask and you're almost guaranteed an invite to the best tea party/movie night/sleepover ever.

4. The Baker. The perfect gift some someone who photographs, cradles, and ogles over homemade baked goods as they would their own offspring. I'm actually anxious to get a copy of this book myself! Easy recipes for artisan bread that the authors claim you can do in five minutes! If it's true, this book is definitely going to get some good use!

If you're feeling extra generous, maybe toss in a new serrated knife and cutting board - Sur La Table sells a set for a price that won't break the bank!

5. The Veggie-Head/Health Nut. For the lover of eating anything they can grow themselves, this Micro-Green Growing Kit is a simple way to keep growing greenery in colder weather (indoors, that is) and will give them an added boost of nutrition, while giving you a boost of cool points - Oh, you didn't know micro-greens are the next big thing? Now you do.

Impatient gardeners welcome! Since micro-greens are basically a baby plant, it will only take 7 - 14 days to taste the fruit (or rather, leaves) of your labor. You can pick from two varieties - a spice (includes things with a little bite, i.e. daikon radish) or a veggie (cabbage, pea and carrot greens).

6. The Ex-Expatriate. For the friend who swears they should have been born British, threw a Royal Wedding watch party, cried when they found out Wills & Kate were expecting... you get the picture. This adorable Red Phone Booth Teapot should make them feel right at home. Pick up a few varieties of tea to go with it - my (and Leslie's) tea obsession: Lady Grey. That's right, Lady. Forget the Earl. It's a woman's world.

7. The Lost Boys. That's what we'll call the guys that don't yet know how to dress themselves. It's okay, you can gift them that! Bombfell has it covered!

You answer some questions about their style and preferences (and where they typically shop - maybe throw in some places you think they should be shopping) and boom! They get an item shipped to their door each month! Now THAT is easy gift giving!

Best of luck! Christmas is just around the corner! It's actually stressing me out a bit that most of the websites I found above have started ringing off their "order by... to receive by Christmas!" warnings. 

Yikes! I actually need to start shopping/baking/decorating.
