Friday!

Today was a good day, I got out of work early with the intention of working on the EWLW newsletter, but you know how working from home goes... ya don't.

As soon as I stepped foot through the door, I decided it was time to get cracking on dinner. I whipped up a warmed potato salad recipe (mayo-less!) and blanched some green beans to go with the roasted quail, then popped the little suckers in the oven.

Kenan brought me enough çiğ köfte to last me a few days, so I noshed on that for lunch. It was amazing (as always) and reminded me of that oh-so-amazing trip to Istanbul that Yerin, Kelly and I went on only five months ago... :(

This stuff is delicious, you wrap the pieces in a lettuce leaf and drown it in lemon juice.

As the story goes, Kenan brought this into work one day and Jules and I both tried it, LOVED it, and Jules asked Kenan to email her the recipe. Hours later, I get an email from Jules and the subject is something along the lines of "OMG."

I open it only to find out that the tasty snack is made with raw beef. Jules has sworn it off since, but I am cut from a heartier cloth (read: Asian) and if it tastes good, I'll eat it. The greatest way to learn about different cultures is through their food. Always.

After dinner, I met up with Burgers to indulge in shameless Zac Efron appreciation time at Cobb Theater, where you can order drinks and bring them in with you to enjoy during the movie!

At certain points of the movie, this girl needed a drink!

After the movie, Burgers and I went for some Fro-Yo down the street. Chocolate with Peanut Butter crispies for her, and chocolate/salted caramel for me with strawberries, chocolate shavings, and sliced almonds.

YUM!

Have a safe and wonderful weekend all! I'll be back tomorrow with that recipe for the warmed potato salad! Off to bed!

THAT'S the sort of fro yo I want to try. Not the bitter Korean stuff...this kind looks pretty awesome.

The Korean stuff is NOT bitter, it's tangy and deeeelicious. This stuff is pretty awesome though. Especially those little peanut butter jobbers.

I want that chocolate with peanut butter crispies. Where is this from?

Haha it's from pinkberry. The PB crispies look gross, but they're delicious, so don't be turned off by the goopiness of them.
