Hunger Games!

I told Yerin I'd meet her to see the Hunger Games tonight (finally!) in Centreville because they play movies for $5 on Tuesdays! Awesome!

She also told me we'd go to Honey Pig afterwards, so... it was an offer I couldn't refuse.

I spent the afternoon preparing my belly for Honey Pig (read: I ate like a rabbit and went for a run in the rain).

Lunch was a pear, a kiwi, some boiled baby potatoes and green beans.
Not Pictured: dessert (two peanut m&ms)

After lunch, I ran some errands and got around to planting some beets in the garden. I'm paying homage to the amazing Farmer's Market in Madison. I was able to find some golden beet and chioggia (candy striped) beet seeds - the same beets I was obsessed with finding in Madison last summer.

Now I'll have them growing at my fingertips! Muah ha ha ha!

All of that gardening, jogging, fruit cutting and eating left me famished by the time I met up with Yerin for the movie, so we sprung for some curly fries, popcorn, and a soda at the movies.

Who knew movie theater curly fries would be so delicious??
(They had better be for approximately a dollar per curly fry...)

Hmm... what can I say about the movie... well... we left pretty disappointed. The only thing that kept us entertained was Gale. My heart skipped a beat without fail every time he came on screen. Team Gale, 100%.

I guess we didn't realize how disappointed we were until after we were done with Honey Pig and were still left unsatisfied. :/

I know... if Korean BBQ can't cure it, it must be bad. Since nothing else was open, we went to Walmart and tried to find something to make us feel better...

This little guy ended up doing it for me.

I finally get all the hype with the eos products! I got the lip balm in Sweet Mint and I must say, it's better than the Burt's Bees I've sworn by for years. A complete impulse buy at the register, but it ended up being TOTALLY worth it! After using this stuff, everything else just seems so thick and goopy. I can't believe you were so disappointed by the Hunger Games. Surely you didn't expect them to include EVERY aspect of the book. Maybe it's because you're Team Gale and you were shown just how wrong a team that is. Peeta is CLEARLY where it's at.

Leslie. Team Gale is where it's at. I'm currently having Gale time. Been working on the second book today. Peeta is Mellark-y. (haha. I am a nerd.)
